The architect's own home on three storeys All structural timber and the Douglas Fir cladding was sourced in Morayshire. The house is heated with underfloor heating on each level, fired by a wood pellet boiler situated in part of the single-storey part of the house. The roof slates were recycled from a church in Glasgow, the external frame is insulated with Warmcell, recycled newspapers. An array of solar panels provide much of the domestic hot water in the summer and even a significant percentage in the winter months.
